Title: EU LLM hosting: four sovereignty classes %E2%80%94 LLM EU Canonical: https://llmeu.com/en/hosting/ Markdown mirror: https://llmeu.com/en/hosting.md Machine-readable: https://llmeu.com/llms.txt (index) - https://llmeu.com/llms-full.txt (full catalogue) - https://llmeu.com/llms-catalogue.json # Hosting classes Where a model runs decides which law applies to the request. LLM EU sorts hosting into four classes and labels every endpoint with one of them. ### EU-owned, EU-operated Company and infrastructure both under EU law and EU ownership. ### EU region of a non-EU parent Data stays in an EU region, but the parent company is outside the EU and may be subject to non-EU law. ### On premises at the customer Runs in infrastructure the customer controls. ### Catalogue entry, hosting not documented No inference is offered on LLM EU. Treat residency claims as unverified. These four labels replace the bare word sovereign, which we do not use on its own. A model is called sovereign only with its class and region beside it, because ownership, operation and jurisdiction are three different facts. ## Hosting Where every catalogue model runs, and what is kept for it: [Data residency for LLM APIs](/en/data-residency/)
