Command R (08-2024) is a 32B retrieval-augmented-generation model with a 128K-token context window, published under CC-BY-NC-4.0. That licence allows research and non-commercial use of the weights but excludes commercial serving and requires accepting Cohere’s acceptable-use policy. The model is built for citation-backed answers over retrieved documents and for tool use.
